"Madame Librarian" -  An original, one of a kind, 24 inch tall hand painted muslin, "shelf-sitter" character cloth doll with auburn wool roving hair. She is dressed in a tan knit cardigan sweater, burgundy sleeveless knit top, and an earthtone plaid wool skirt over white pantaloons. Her formed and painted muslin, string-laced, high heel ankle boots and legs are all one piece. She is adorned with faux pearl jewelry, purchased doll glasses and a No. 2 pencil behind one ear. She's holding a painted wooden faux book stack. She weighs approx. 1 1/2 lbs.

"Critter Puppet" - A 38" original design plush puppet. The arms of the critter wrap around the pupeteer's neck while the critter's legs wrap around pupeteer's waist. The critter's arms and legs are then held in that position by securing its palms and feet together with Velcro. This gives the appearance of the critter hugging the pupeteer.  Pupeteer's arm and hand are inserted up the center of the critter's body, allowing the pupeteer's hand to operate critter's mouth. Puppet weighs approx. 1/2 lb.

Our bears and dolls all come with a sewn in tag and if they are a one of a kind creation they will have a signed and dated hangtag stating their authenticity. 

They have a 5-day after receipt, money back guarantee only on the purchase price, if you are not satisfied with their appearance or the quality of workmanship. Return shipping charges to be paid by buyer and the item has to be returned in the condition it was initially received.

Our bears and dolls are securely strapped inside and packed in double boxes to help ensure their safety during shipping. Shipments are insured. Shipping is via US Postal Service.

"Hattie's Spring Day" -
Hattie is a One of a Kind 6" bear made from 5/8" dark grey Schulte mohair
and features:
  • Meticulously needle sculpted with a hand plucked muzzle and hand shaded in black, white and silver grey with just a touch of pink on her cheeks and inner ears.
  • Hand painted brown glass eyes that are topped with black suede upper eyelids and Ultrasuede whites underneath. They have a very warm and friendly look to them.
  • Closed needle sculpted mouth embroidered with medium beige brown Pearl cotton.
  • Embroidered nose in light steel grey Pearl cotton and hand shaded in dark grey with just a touch of black and a small golden highlight on the tip.
  • Trapunto paws that are made from silver grey Ultrasuede and then lightly hand shaded in dark grey. The claws are black Pearl cotton.
  • Well balanced and will stand, pose and carry her flowers and basket unassisted.  She has wire armatures in both her legs and arms.
  • Like all good bears of the wood, she features a hump in her back.
  • Double stitched seams and reinforced stress points.
  • Excess fur is hand trimmed from the seam allowances prior to stitching to produce a smoother, flatter, more invisible seam. 
  • Feet and tummy have bagged BBs added for balance and weight.  She is firmly stuffed with poly-fill, and she weighs approximately 1/2 a pound.
  • 5 way jointed with set screws and lock nuts.
  • A white sugar starched crocheted sun hat that I purchased in a local vintage shop.  It is held in place with a "pearl" hatpin.
  • Sundress of woven lightweight cotton in a small even plaid of ivory, tan and navy blue that features pin tucks on the front and ivory lace trim at the hemline.  The back has a snap closure with 3 decorative tan buttons.  There is a decorative tan button sewn on each shoulder as well.
  • A small wooden flower basket with a wire handle made from poplar wood and stained a dark walnut.  The wire twist handle is painted copper.  The basket measures 2" wide and 2 ¾" long.
  • The basket is filled with artificial white wild daises with large yellow centers.  They are tied together with a light pink ribbon.
